Lucky Coin Jewelry
I create these pieces using genuine currency — mostly coins I collected during my studies and travels in Ireland beginning in the late 1980s, plus British ones from my mum's childhood in England and from my own visits there over the years (I'm a dual U.S. and U.K. citizen). The Irish coins went out of circulation in 2002 when the euro was adopted, so they're increasingly rare. Each one is punched and mounted by hand, and comes with a card about its history.

01
Irish 20p coin on 18K yellow gold filled 18 inch 1mm wide Italian snake chain
Minted in 1986, this coin was the first denomination introduced to the Irish decimal system that didn't have an exact historical predecessor. Designed by Percy Metcalfe, the noble Irish Hunter horse on the reverse symbolizes the strength, grace, and rich agricultural legacy of the Irish countryside. The coin circulated for a brief 16 years before being permanently phased out in 2002 when Ireland adopted the euro, making pristine mid-80s strikes an increasingly rare token of Irish history.
